Answer:

0.0222 mole of NaOH is needed to react with NH4F

Explanation:

NH4F + NaOH --> NaF + NH3 + H2O

Data given

Mass of NH4F =0.821g, Concentration of NaOH= 1M, volume of NaoH =25ml

But mole = (CV)/1000

given mole of NaoH = (1 * 25)/1000 = 0.025moles of NaOH used

Molar mass of NH4F = 37g/mol

mole of NH4F used 0.821 / 37 = 0.0222 mole NH4F

Determine the excess and limiting reactant,

NaOH is in excess

0.025 - 0.0222 = 0.0028 mole NaOH excess

0.0222 mole of NaOH is required to react with NH4F

A mass of 5.4 grams of aluminum (al) reacts with an excess of copper (ii) chloride (cucl2) in solution, as shown below. 3cucl2 2
horrorfan [7]

Answer:

Mass of copper produced is 19.07g

Explanation:

Let's bring out the chemical equation;

3CuCl2 + 2Al → 2AlCl3 + 3Cu

3           :   2       :   2       : 3

Upon confirming that the reaction is indeed balanced, we can proceed.

The questions asks to calculate mass of Cu formed when a mass of 5.4g of Al is being used.

From the equation, what is the relationship between Al and Cu?

2 mol of Al would react to form 3 mol of Cu

Expressing this in terms of mass, we have;

mass = no. of moles * molar mass

Mass of Aluminium = 2 * 26.98 = 53.98 g

Mass of Copper = 3 * 63.546 = 190.638g

This means;

53.98 g of Al would react to form 190.638g of Cu

So how much Cu would form from 5.4 g of Al?

This leads us to;

53.98 = 190.638

5.4 = x

Upon cross multiplication, we are left with;

x = (190.638 * 5.4) / 53.98

x = 19.07 g

Mass of copper produced is 19.07g

A gas of 190 mL at a pressure of 74 atm can be expected to change its pressure when its volume changes to 30.0 mL. Express its n
kozerog [31]

Answer : The new pressure of the gas will be, 468.66 atm

Explanation :

Boyle's Law : This law states that pressure of the gas is inversely proportional to the volume of the gas at constant temperature and number of moles.

P\propto \frac{1}{V} (At constant temperature and number of moles)

or,

P_1V_1=P_2V_2

where,

P_1 = initial pressure of the gas = 74 atm

P_2 = final pressure of the gas = ?

V_1 = initial volume of the gas = 190 ml

V_2 = final volume of the gas = 30 ml

Now we put all the given values in the above formula, we get the final or new pressure of the gas.

74atm\times 190ml=P_2\times 30ml

P_2=468.66atm

Therefore, the new pressure of the gas will be, 468.66 atm

Two electrons in an atom are separated by 1.5 ✕ 10-10 m, the typical size of an atom. what is the electric force between them?
densk [106]
Given two electrons with charge of 1.5x10^-10 m

The electostatic force between them is determined by this formula:

F = kq1q2/r^2

where

k = 9x10^9
q1 = q2 = 1.5x10^-10
r = 2.82x10^-15

F = 9x10^9 * (1.5x10^-10)^2 / 2.82x10^-15
   = 71808.51

Olin [163]

Selective & Differential Medium

Explanation:

  • Selective media allow specific types of organisms to develop, and inhibit the development of different living beings. The selectivity is cultivated in a few ways.For model, living beings that can use a given sugar are handily screened by making that sugar the main carbon source in the medium. On the other hand,selective hindrance of certain sorts of microorganisms can be accomplished by adding dyes, anti-infection agents, salts or explicit inhibitors which influence the digestion or enzyme systems of the living beings
  • Differential media are utilized to separate firmly related life forms or groups of living beings. owing to the pre of specific colors or synthetic compounds in the media, the creatures will deliver trademark changes or development designs that are utilized for ID or separation. An assortment of particular and differential media are utilized in clinical, demonstrative and water contamination research facilities, and in food and dairy laboratories
  • Selective media because elevated NaCI level is designed to help grow selective bacteria.differential media because the fermented sugar gives off a yellow halo which allows for differentiate between bacteria
