Answer:0.07 m^{3}

Explanation:

Density \rho is a physical characteristic property of matter that establishes a relationship between the mass m  of a body or substance and the volume V  it occupies. Mathematically is expressed as:

\rho=\frac{m}{V} (1)

We already know the mass of the swimmer, which is m=70 kg and the density of water \rho=1(10)^{3} kg/m^{3}.

The volume V can be found t by the Archimedes' Principle, which states the following:

<em>A body totally or partially immersed in a fluid at rest (water in this case), experiences a vertical upward thrust equal to the mass weight of the body volume that is displaced. </em>

Hence, the volume of the swimmer is equal to the volume her body displaces. This means we only a have to isolate V from (1):

V=\frac{m}{\rho} (2)

V=\frac{70 kg}{1(10)^{3} kg/m^{3}} (3)

Finally:

V=0.07 m^{3}}

Fill in the blanks to complete each statement about weathering. Weathering is the breakdown of rocks into smaller particles call
nevsk [136]

Answer:

sediments

Explanation:

Weathering is the breakdown of rocks into smaller particles called:

                 sediments

Weathering is the physical disintegration and chemical decay of rocks into smaller fragments to produce sediments. The product of rock weathering is basically sediments. Some of the sediments can be transformed to form soils when they combine with organic matter, water and air.

Physical weathering is when rocks are physically broken into smaller pieces, but the minerals in  the rock remain the same.

             Physical weathering

Physical weathering is the disintegration of rocks into smaller bits without altering the chemical make up of the minerals. The goal of physical weathering is to expose rock surface to action of chemical weathering.

When a rock is broken down in a way that changes the mineral composition, it is called  chemical weathering

          chemical weathering

Chemical weathering is the decay of rocks by altering the minerals in a rock.

A uniform magnetic field makes an angle of 30o with the z axis. If the magnetic flux through a 1.0 m2 portion of the xy plane is
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

(b) 10 Wb

Explanation:

Given;

angle of inclination of magnetic field, θ = 30°

initial area of the plane, A₁ = 1 m²

initial magnetic flux through the plane, Φ₁ =  5.0 Wb

Magnetic flux is given as;

Φ = BACosθ

where;

B is the strength of magnetic field

A is the area of the plane

θ is the angle of inclination

Φ₁ = BA₁Cosθ

5 = B(1 x cos30)

B = 5/(cos30)

B = 5.7735 T

Now calculate the magnetic flux through a 2.0 m² portion of the same plane

Φ₂ = BA₂Cosθ

Φ₂ = 5.7735 x 2 x cos30

Φ₂ = 10 Wb

Therefore, the magnetic flux through a 2.0 m² portion of the same plane is is 10 Wb.

Option "b"
