Temperature difference in the body. The surface temperature of the body is normally about 7.00 ∘C lower than the internal temper

ature. Express this temperature difference in kelvins and in Fahrenheit degrees.
I'm looking for a clear and easy understandung, not an answer. In fact, I know the answer is 7 degrees Kelvin and 12.8 degrees F, but I do not understand why?

7 degrees Celcius would be 280 degrees Kelvin, so why is the answer 7?

Same goes for degrees F..

Answer:

7 K.

12. 6 °F

Explanation:

Convert the individual temperatures to Kelvin (Surface temperature and internal temperature) before calculating the temperature difference of the body,

Let The Surface temperature Be = X °C

And the internal Temperature will be = (X + 7) °C

Converting the surface and the internal temperature to temperature in Kelvin

Surface Temperature of the body (K) = (X + 273) K

Internal Temperature of the body (K) = (X + 7) + 273 = (X + 280) K.

∴ Temperature difference of the body (K) = Internal temperature(K) - surface temperature(K) = (X + 279) - (X + 280)

   = X - X + 280 - 273 = 7 K.

∴Temperature difference of the body (K) = 7 K

Also for Fahrenheit, Convert the individual temperatures (Surface temperature and internal temperature) to Fahrenheit before calculating the temperature difference of the body.

We use , F = 1.8C + 32

Where C = temperature in Celsius.

also,

Let The Surface temperature Be = X °C

And the internal Temperature of the body will be = (X + 7) °C

Converting to Fahrenheit

Surface Temperature of the body = 1.8X + 32 °F

Internal Temperature of the body = 1.8(X+7) + 32 = 1.8X + 12.6 + 32

Internal Temperature of the body = 1.8X + 44.6 °F

∴ The temperature difference of the body (°F) = Internal temperature(°F) - surface temperature(°F) = (1.8X + 44.6) - (1.8X + 32)

      surface temperature(°F) = 1.8X - 1.8X  + 44.6 - 32

       surface temperature(°F) = 12. 6 °F.

Two billiard balls of equal mass are traveling straight toward each other with the same speed. They meet head-on in an elastic c
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

0 kg m/s before and after collision

Explanation:

Let m, v be the mass and speed of the 2 balls, respectively, before the collision. Since they have the same mass and same speed but in opposite direction, the total momentum of the system would be:

P = mv - mv = 0 kg m/s

As the collision is elastic. The total momentum after the collision is the same as the total momentum before the collision, which is 0.

A steel ball bearing with a radius of 1.5 cm forms an image of an object that has been placed 1.1 cm away from the bearing’s sur
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

Check the explanation

Explanation:

given

R = 1.5 cm

object distance, u = 1.1 cm

focal length of the ball, f = -R/2

= -1.5/2

= -0.75 cm

let v is the image distance

use, 1/u + 1/v = 1/f

1/v = 1/f - 1/u

1/v = 1/(-0.75) - 1/(1.1)

Margy is trying to improve her cardio endurance by performing an exercise in which she alternates walking and running 100.0 m ea
madreJ [45]
In order to answer this exercise you need to use the formulas

S = Vo*t + (1/2)*a*t^2

Vf = Vo + at

The data will be given as

Vf = final velocity = ?

Vo = initial velocity = 1.4 m/s

a = acceleration = 0.20 m/s^2

s = displacement = 100m

And now you do the following:

100 = 1.4t + (1/2)*0.2*t^2

t = 25.388s

and

Vf = 1.4 + 0.2(25.388)

Vf = 6.5 m/s

So the answer you are looking for is 6.5 m/s

A satellite in geostationary orbit is used to transmit data via electromagnetic radiation. The satellite is at a height of 35,00
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

We have the following relation between power, P and intensity, I

I = P/(4*pi*r^2)

= 10^3/(4*pi*(35000*10^3))

= 6.5*10^-14 W/M^2

We also have the following relationship between electric field and electromagnetic radiation thus

I = (ceE^2)/2

Hence E = \sqrt{2I/ce}

substituting the values of I, c and e, we have

7*10^-6 V/m

Which statements describe a situation with a displacement of zero? Check all that apply. traveling south for 30 miles, then turn
velikii [3]
The term "displacement" includes a change of position or change in an innate characteristic. The first option would have someone travel in an L-shape, which definitely is a change in position from the starting point. The second option of Ferris wheel with the same entrance and exit does not involve overall displacement since a person would return to the same place they began. The third option of walking around the block does not involve overall displacement since, again, the person would return to the same place they began. The fourth option of an escalator ride does involve overall displacement because a person would finish their journey in a different vertical location from where they started. The last option does not involve overall displacement because one lap around a track will return you to the same place you began.
