Answer:

B 1.0 g

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, by means of the significant figures we can see that 1 g has one significant figure only, for that reason, among the options, we should select one having the closest value to it, for that reason, the correct answer should be B 1.0 g as the measurement indicates the desired value.

Best regards.

not really. See the USP definition of these terms. Sig figs is not correct.

Accurately means your balance can meet accuracy criteria for the specified weight. Approximately means +/- 10% of the target. So 0.900 to 1.100 g for a 1 g target and a balance capable of 0.10% accuracy at that level. See USP definitions for these terms, USP <41>.

The average distance between nitrogen and oxygen atoms is 115 pm in a compound called nitric oxide. what is this distance in cen
e-lub [12.9K]
pm stands for picometer and picometers are units which can be used to measure really tiny distances. One picometer is equal to 10^{-12} meters. We know that one centimeter is equal to 10^{-2} m so there are 10^2 cm per meter. We can change the distance d = 115 pm to units of centimeters. d = (115 pm) x (10^{-12}m / pm) x (10^2 cm / m) d = 115 x 10^{-10} cm = 1.15 x 10^{-8} cm The distance in centimeters is 1.15 x 10^{-8} cm
