Percentage by mass is the amount in mass of a component in a mixture per 100 unit of mass of the total mixture. Percentage by mass is the same as %w/w. We can determine this by dividing the mass of the solute with the total mass of the mixture. However, from the problem statement, we are given the volume of the water so there is a need to convert this value to mass by using the density of water. We calculate as follows:

Mass of solution = 100 mL (0.99993 g/mL) water + 25 g EtOH
Mass of solution = 124.993 g solution

%w/w = 25 g / 124.993 g x100
%w/w = 20% of EtOH

I believe the answer is sugar crystals with stirring at 15 degrees Celsius.
Solubility is the maximum amount of a substance that will dissolve in a given amount of solvent at a specific temperature. There are two major factors that affect solubility are temperature and pressure. Temperature affects solubility of both solids and gases, but pressure only affects the solubility of gases. Increasing the surface area of solutes also increases the solubility.

Complete the equation for the dissociation of cdcl2(aq). omit water from the equation because it is understood to be present.
mixas84 [53]
Cadmium chloride is a highly soluble compound. The equation for its dissolution is:

CdCl₂(s) → Cd⁺²(aq) + 2Cl⁻(aq)

This dissociation in water allows for the cadmium and chlorine ions to take part in reactions. This is the reason that solutions of chemicals are prepared when a reaction needs to take place.

Formulating an Investigative Question In this experiment, you will use a track and a toy car to explore the concept of movement.
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

A scientific question to be asked is; What is the average speed of the toy car?

Explanation:

A scientific question is a question which is well defined, the values in the question can be measured, and the inputs and outputs related to the question are controllable

The parameters measured in the experiment are;

The time elapsed during the movement of the car, Δt

The distance the car moves, d

From the obtained measurements, the value can be calculated is the average speed of the toy car as follows;

The \ average \ speed \ of \ the \ toy \ car, \ v_{avg} = \dfrac{d}{\Delta t}

Therefore, a scientific question to be asked that will be answered by doing the experiment is; What is the average speed of the toy car?
