Answer:Complete these sentences.

If a bouncing ball has a total energy of 20 J and a kinetic energy of 5 J, the ball’s potential energy is.......(15) J

If the kinetic energy of the ball decreases, then the potential energy will.......(increase)

The sum of the energies of the body is always equal to the total energy, according to the law of conservation of energy.

Etotal= KE+PE
PE= Etotal-KE= 20-5= 15J

To keep this total energy constant, when kinetic energy if the ball decreases, the potential energy increases, and vise versa.

Hope this helps.

Calculate the average velocity in m/y of a tectonic plate that has travelled 9000 km to the south in 60 million years
Gekata [30.6K]
<span>The distance covered by the tectonic plate, in meters, is
</span>d=9000km=9\cdot 10^6 m<span>
 The time taken for the tectonic plate to cover this distance is equal to
</span>t=60 mil.y=60 \cdot 10^6 y<span>
Therefore, the average velocity of the tectonic plate is the ratio between the distance covered and the time taken:
</span>v= \frac{S}{t} = \frac{9\cdot 10^6m}{60 \cdot 10^6y} =0.15 m/y.<span>

Two swimmers begin a race and Swimmer A completes each length of the pool in 30 seconds, while Swimmer B completes each length i
Anni [7]

Answer:1.33 times

Explanation:

Given

A takes 30 sec to complete each length

While B takes 40 sec to complete each length

Let L be the Length of Swimming pool Length

and V_a and V_b be the length of A & B

Thus after 5 minutes A traveled

x_a=\frac{L}{30}\times 5\times 60=10L

x_b=\frac{L}{40}\times 5\times 60=7.5L

so A is 2.5L units ahead of B

A has traveled 1.33 times than B in 5 mins

) What is the electric potential due to the nucleus of hydrogen at a distance of 7.50× 10-11 m? Assume the potential is equal to
ohaa [14]
For this, we need the formula:
V = k q / r
where k is the Coulombs law constant = 9 x 10^9 N
q is the charge of the hydrogen nucleus (proton) = <span>1.6 x 10^-19 C</span>
r is the distance
Simply plug in the values and solve for V

alisha [4.7K]
Newton's first law says that an object at rest tends to stay at rest while an object in motion stays in motion at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an outside force so the amount of force behind the defensive football player (N) was greater than the quarterback's so he was able to over power him which is also called unbalanced forces
