Answer:

1. is true

Explanation:

The solubility rules apply only to salts, which are ionic compounds.

2. is false. A strong electrolyte is a salt that dissociates completely in solution. Not all salts dissociate completely. For example, a 0.36 mol·L⁻¹ solution dissociates as:

K₂SO₄ ⟶ K⁺   + KSO₄⁻ (30 %) + SO₄²⁻

Thus, K₂SO₄ does not dissociate completely into K⁺ and SO₄²⁻ ions.

3. is false. The solubility rules apply only to aqueous solutions.

You can identify a metal by carefully determining its density. A 8.44 g piece of an unknown metal is 1.25 cm long, 2.50 cm wide,
Dafna1 [17]

Answer: Aluminum, 2.70 g/cm^3

Explanation:

Density is defined as the mass contained per unit volume.  It is characteristic of a substance.

Density=\frac{mass}{Volume}

Given : Mass of object = 8.44 grams

Volume of object=length\times breadth\times height=1.25cm\times 2.50cm\times 1.0cm=3.125cm^3

Putting in the values we get:

Density=\frac{8.44g}{3.125cm^3}=2.70g/cm^3

Thus density of the object will be 2.70 g/cm^3  which matches that of aluminium.

Molecules containing a large number of hydroxyl groups are
alexandr402 [8]
Molecules containing a large number of hydroxyl groups are soluble in water. Molecules which contains the functional group hydroxyl or -OH are called alcohols. Water and alcohols share some similar properties. One would be its polar properties. Alcohols are polar molecules as they contain a partial positive and partial negative end. Making them to be miscible in water. The hydroxyl groups in alcohol are capable of forming hydrogen bonds with the water molecules and with other alcohols.  As the number of the hydroxyl groups increases, the polarity of the molecule would also increase making it more soluble in water.
