Answer : The heat rejected by the system is 1000 J

Explanation :

As per first law of thermodynamic,

q=\Delta U+w

where,

\Delta U = internal energy  of the system

q = heat  added or rejected by the system

w = work done of the system

First we have to determine the internal energy for 30 grams of gas.

As, 1 gram of gas has internal energy = 200 J

So, 30 grams of gas has internal energy = 200 × 30 = 6000 J

Now we have to determine the heat of the system.

q=\Delta U+w

\Delta  = -6000 J

w = 5000 N.m = 5000 J

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get:

q=-6000J+5000J

q=-1000J

The negative sign indicate that the heat rejected by the system.

Hence, the heat rejected by the system is 1000 J

A blue puck has a velocity of 3i –4j m/s. Its mass is 20 kg. What is its momentum?
damaskus [11]
P = m * v
v = {3i - 4j} = square root (3^2 + 4^2) = 5
P = 20 * 5
P = 100 kg m/s

Thank you for posting your question here at brainly. Below is the answer:

sum of Mc = 0 = -Ay(4.2 + 3cos(59)) + (275)(2.1 + 3cos(59)) + M
<span>- Ay = (M + (275*(2.1 + 3cos(59)))/(4.2 + 3cos(59)) </span>

<span>sum of Ma = 0 = (-275)(2.1) - Cy(4.2 + 3cos(59)) + M </span>
<span>- Cy = (M - (275*2.1))/(4.2 + 3cos(59)) </span>

<span>Ay + Cy = 275 = ((M+1002.41)+(M-577.5))/(5.745) </span>
<span>= (2M + 424.91)/(5.745) </span>

<span>M = ((275*5.745) - 424.91)/2 </span>
<span>= 577.483 which rounds off to 577 </span>

<span>Is it maybe supposed to be Ay - Cy = 275</span>

A grasshopper jumps at a 65.0 degree angle at 5.42m/s. At what time does it reach its maximum height?
crimeas [40]
When the grasshoppers vertical velocity is exactly zero.
v = -g•t + v0.
v: vertical part of velocity. Is zero at maximum height.
g: 9.81
t: time you are looking for
v0: initial vertical velocity
Find the vertical part of the initial velocity, by using the angle at which the grasshopper jumps.

A 0.50-kg mass attached to the end of a string swings in a vertical circle (radius 2.0 m). When the mass is at the highest point
il63 [147K]

Answer:

31.1 N

Explanation:

m = mass attached to string = 0.50 kg

r = radius of the vertical circle = 2.0 m

v = speed of the mass at the highest point = 12 m/s

T = force of the string on the mass attached.

At the highest point, force equation is given as

T + mg =\frac{mv^{2}}{r}

Inserting the values

T + (0.50)(9.8) =\frac{(0.50)(12)^{2}}{2}

T = 31.1 N

hockey puck slides across the ice with an initial velocity of 7.2 m/s. It has a deceleration of 1.1 m/s2 and is traveling toward
dimulka [17.4K]

For this use the formula:

d = Vo * t - (at^2) / 2

Clearing t:

t = d/(v + 0.5*a)

Replacing:

t = 5 m / (7.2 m/s + 0.5 * (-1.1 m/s²)

Resolving:

t = 5 m / (7.2 m/s + (-0.55 m/s²)

t = 5 m / 6.65 m/s

t = 0.75 s

Result:

The time will be <u>0.75 seconds.</u>
