You and your friend are running at each other from 200m apart. After 10 seconds and having passed the 50m mark on your side, you

see your friend has already gone 60m on his. What will your average velocity need to be for the remaining time in order for you to both have covered the same amount of distance, assuming he maintains a constant speed?

Answer:

average speed = 7.50 m/s

Explanation:

given data

distance = 200 m

time = 10 seconds

passed = 50m

already gone = 60 m

to find out

average velocity need to be for the remaining time

solution

we get here first Velocity of friend v that is express as

velocity = \frac{already\ gone}{time}

velocity = \frac{60}{10}

velocity = 6 m/s

and time taken to reach half the way is here as

time taken = \frac{100}{6}

time taken = 16.67 seconds

and now distance to be covered is

distance to be covered =  100 m - 50 m

distance to be covered = 50 meters

and remaining distance cover in time = 16.67 sec - 10 sec

remaining distance cover in time = 6.67 seconds

so average speed will be here as

average speed = \frac{50}{6.67}

average speed = 7.50 m/s

jeka57 [31]

Answer:

The dust present in the clouds.

Explanation:

The complicated composition molecules that can be found in space are generally associated with clouds of dust. The significant amount of dust in these clouds provides protection not only for these molecules, but for any body that makes up or is associated with dust clouds.

It is exactly this dust that protects the molecules against the action of ultraviolet rays.

When 0.1523 g of liquid pentane (CH) combusts in a bomb calorimeter, the temperature rises from 23.7C to 29.8 C. What is U for t
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

U for the reaction is 15,048.58 kJ/mol of pentane.

Explanation:

Quantity of heat required = heat capacity of bomb calorimeter × temperature rise = 5.23 kJ/C × (29.8 C - 23.7 C) = 5.23 kJ/C × 6.1 C = 31.903 kJ

Moles of pentane = mass/MW

Mass = 0.1523 g

MW of pentane (C5H12) = 72 g/mol

Moles of pentane = 0.1523/72 = 0.00212 mol

U for the reaction = quantity of heat required ÷ moles of pentane = 31.903 kJ ÷ 0.00212 mol = 15,048.58 kJ/mol
