Answer:

Explanation:

Reaction force of inclined surface = mg cosθ

= Friction force acting in upward direction = μ x mg cosθ

If F be force required in upward direction to keep the block at rest on the plane

F +  μ x mg cosθ = mg sinθ

F = mg sinθ -  μ x mg cosθ

F = mg( sinθ - μ cosθ)

= 2 x 9.8 ( sin34 - 0.2 cos34 )

= 19.6 ( .559 - .1658)

= 7.7 N

This is the minimum force required .

Answer:

n = 2.06 moles

Explanation:

The absolute pressure at depth of 27 inches can be calculated by:

Pressure = Pressure read + Zero Gauge pressure

Zero Gauge pressure = 14.7 psi

Pressure read = 480 psi

Total pressure = 480 psi + 14.7 psi = 494.7 psi

P (psi) = 1/14.696  P(atm)

So, Pressure = 33.66 atm

Temperature = 25°C

The conversion of T( °C) to T(K) is shown below:

T(K) = T( °C) + 273.15

So,

T = (25 + 273.15) K = 298.15 K

T = 298.15 K

Volume = 1.50 L

Using ideal gas equation as:

PV=nRT

where,

P is the pressure

V is the volume

n is the number of moles

T is the temperature

R is Gas constant having value = 0.0821 L.atm/K.mol

Applying the equation as:

33.66 atm × 1.50 L = n × 0.0821 L.atm/K.mol × 298.15 K

⇒n = 2.06 moles

A square block of steel with volume 10 cm3 and mass of 75 g is cut precisely in half. The density of the two smaller pieces is n
dem82 [27]
A. Density only depends on the substance. It doesn't matter whether you have a little chip of it or a supertanker full of it ... the density doesn't change.

Question 1
Vesna [10]

Answer:

1)  g = 4π² / m, 3) xaxis the  length of the pendulums and the y axis the period squared

Explanation:

a) students can approximate this system to a simple pendulum, in this case the angular velocity is

         w = √ g / l

angular velocity, frequency and period are related

         w = 2π f = 2π / T

we substitute

         T = 2π√ l / g

with this equation they can determine the value of the acceleration of gravity, for this they measure the period for various lengths of the pendulum and graph

        T² = 4π²  l / g

We graph T² vs l

where this is the equation of a line if the independent variable is y = T² and x = l

        y = (4π² / g)  l

so the slope is

         m = 4π² / g

clearing

         g = 4π² / m

where the slope can be found with the values of the line not the experimental values.

2) to carry out the experiment, or the thread is attached to the sphere, the length of the pendulum that goes from the pivot point to the center of the sphere is measured with a tape measure and a small finished angle is turned or less than 10th is released, it is good to wait for the first oscillation to walk, the time of a determined number of oscillations is generally measured 10 or 20, the period is calculated

    T = t / n

a table of T² against the length is made and it is plotted with the length in the ax ax, we look for the slope and hence the acceleration of gravity

3) on the independent x-axis, the controlled variable must be plotted, which is the length of the pendulums, and on the y-axis, the dependent variable is the period squared

4) of the equation of the line

            m = 4pi2 / g

                 where it ends up reaching the floor

            g = 4pi2 / m

5) when the spring is cut, the sphere remains under the effect of gravity acceleration, the harmonic movement disappears and the sphere is in a vertical movement

A scientist places a strip of hot metal on top of a block of another metal with a lower melting point. The second metal quickly
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

D:

Explanation:

Conduction because the heat energy is transferring directly from the separate metals convection involves "currents" like in a liquid or a gas. When you turn on the stove with a pot of water on the burner the water at the bottom of the pot gets heated first almost immediately this water rises and cooler water falls. Basically the water is "stirring" or shifting, exchanging the heat energy this is why water heats so evenly.
