Molar mass calcium bromide :

CaBr2 = 40 + 80 * 2 = 200 g / mol

Volume = 50.0 mL : 0.05 L

Molarity = 0.25 M

Mass of solute = ?

M = m / mm * V

0.25 = m / 200 * 0.05

m = 0.25 * 200 * 0.05

m = 2.5 g of CaBr2

hope this helps!.

The model below shows an atom of an element. 10 light gray and 8 dark gray balls sit at the center with 2 concentric black rings
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

The Atomic Number of the atom of an element whose model is given is "8" that is option no. 'C' in the question.

Explanation:

An Atom comprises of 3 basic structures that are Protons, Neutrons and Electrons. The central part is the Nucleus which contains protons and neutrons having positive charge and no charge respectively. The electrons are revolving around the nucleus in electronic shells having the negative charge.

ATOMIC NUMBER:

Atomic number is the number of protons present inside the nucleus of an atom and it determines the place of that particular atom in the Periodic Table.

In the model, given in the question, the nucleus contains 2 types of balls dark gray colored and light gray colored. The key at the bottom shows the dark gray colored ball as having a positive charge and thus it represents the atomic number for the given atom of element which is EIGHT (8).

So, the atomic number for the given atom is 8 which is element OXYGEN.

Describe an electron cloud. Then, name and explain a particular atomic model that used the concept of the electron cloud.
pochemuha

Electron cloud is the region around the nucleus in an atom where we can locate an electron.

The concept of electron cloud model was introduced by the Schrodinger and Heisenberg. According to this model, it would be difficult to know the position of the electrons in an atom and they are not particles that orbit around the nucleus. We can only expect the electrons to be present in specific areas called the electron clouds around the nucleus. It is the quantum mechanical model that used the concept of electron clouds. According to the model, the electron cloud or an orbital is a space around the nucleus in an atom where the probability of finding an electron is 90%. It explains that electrons show wave nature. It is difficult to determine the exact position and momentum of an electron in an atom.

Which neutral atom is isoelectronic with o+?
sukhopar [10]
Isoelectronic means equal number of electrons.

O+ is formed when the atom of O loses 1 electron.

The number of electrons of neutral O atom equals its number of protons.

Number of protons identifies the atomic number and position of the element in the periodic table.

The positon of O in the periodic table is A = 8, so it has 8 electrons and O+ has 8 - 1 = 7 electrons.

The neutral atom with one electron less than O is of the element to the left of O in the periodic table (A = 7). That element is N.

Therefore, the neutral atom isoelectronic with O+ is N (both have 7 electrons).
