Maybe use gloves that are easy on the finger tips or very flexible, like a strong latex, or a couple of layers of regular latex gloves. Maybe use rubber finger covers meant for string instruments, as they are rubber and will help you grip the balloon and wont pop it. Or maybe try deflating them a bit because as you twist, you're forcing more air into different parts of the balloon which causes too much pressure. It will look the same if you just deflate it a tad.

Hope this helps!

The first five ionization energies of an element are as follows (in kJ/mol): 577.9, 1820, 2750, 11600, 14800. Which of the follo
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:option d==> Si.

Explanation:

The energy required to remove electron from a gaseous atom or ion is what is called an ionization energy. As we remove electrons continually in a gaseous atom or ion, the ionization energy increases which are know as the first ionization energy, the second ionization energy, third ionization energy and so on.

Looking at the electronic configuration of Silicon, Si; Ne 3s2 3p2. We can can see that the first four ionization energies are from the removal of the 3p2 and 3s2 electrons and the fifth ionization energy, which is the highest ionization energy of 14800 kJ/mol is the the electron removed from the core shell.

Magnesium reacts with a certain element to form a compound with the general formula MgX. What would the most likely formula be f
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

K2X

Explanation:

Valency can be defined as the combining power of an element. It is the valency that dictates the value an element will have when writing a chemical formula for its compound.

MgX is a compound of magnesium and an element X. The valency of magnesium in most of its compound is +2. Now for the 2 to have been absent in the chemical formula, this shows that the element X itself have a valency if -2 for the valencies of both to have canceled out.

Now considering the element potassium, it is an alkaline metal belonging to group 1 of the periodic table. Hence, it is expected that it has a valency of +1

Forming a compound with element X means there would be an exchange of valencies between the two. We have established that x has a valency of -2. The formula of the compound thus formed by exchanging the valencies of both element would be K2X

Use the conversion factor 1amu=6.66054 x 10^-24 to answer the following questions.. . a) 1.674 x 10^-24 g of neutrons is how man
Wewaii [24]
A.) The conversion factor is 1 amu = 1.66054 ^{-24}g

To know how many amu in 1.674x10^{-24}g grams of neutrons:
1.674x10^{-24}g ( \frac{x (amu) }{ 1.66054x10^{-24} g)}

=1.00811 amu

b.) The mass in grams of one lithium ion which has an atomic weight of 6.94 amu.

6.94 amu (\frac{6.66054 ^{-24} g}{1 amu}) = 4.62241x10 ^{23} g

c.) How many amu in 6.492x10^-23g potassium?

6.492x10^{-23}g ( \frac{x (amu) }{ 1.66054x10^{-24}g }) = 39.0957 amu

A gold wire has a diameter of 1.00 mm. What length of this wire contains exactly 1.00 mol of gold? (density of Au = 17.0 g/cm3)
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 7160 cm

Explanation:

Data

diameter = 1 mm

length = ?

amount of gold = 1 mol

density = 17 g/cm³

Process

1.- Get the atomic mass of gold

Atomic mass = 197 g

then, 197g ------------ 1 mol

2.- Calculate the volume of this wire

density = mass/volume

volume = mass/density

volume = 197/17

volume = 5.7 cm³

3.- Calculate the length of the wire

Volume = πr²h

solve for h

h = volume /πr²

radius = 0.05 cm

substitution

h = 5.7/(3.14 x 0.05²)

h = 5.7 / 0.0025

h = 7159.2 cm ≈ 7160 cm
