Answer:

5.65\times 10^{26} kg

Explanation:

From Kepler's third law: Mass of the planet is given by:

M = \frac{4\pi ^2d^3}{GT^2}

where, T is the time period of satellite revolving about the planet at a distance d. G is the gravitational constant = 6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ Nm²/kg²

Given, d = 1.87 × 10⁸ m

T = 82800 s

⇒M = \frac{4\pi ^2 (1.87\times 10^8)^3}{(6.67\times 10^{-11})(82800)^2}=5.65\times 10^{26} kg

olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

y= 240/901 cos 2t+ 8/901 sin 2t

Explanation:

To find mass m=weighs/g

  m=8/32=0.25

To find the spring constant

Kx=mg    (given that c=6 in and mg=8 lb)

K(0.5)=8               (6 in=0.5 ft)

K=16 lb/ft

We know that equation for spring mass system

my''+Cy'+Ky=F

now by putting the values

0.25 y"+0.25 y'+16 y=4 cos 20 t  ----(1) (given that C=0.25 lb.s/ft)

Lets assume that at steady state the equation of y will be

y=A cos 2t+ B sin 2t

To find the constant A and B we have to compare this equation with equation 1.

Now find y' and y" (by differentiate with respect to t)

y'= -2A sin 2t+2B cos 2t

y"=-4A cos 2t-4B sin 2t

Now put the values of y" , y' and y in equation 1

0.25 (-4A cos 2t-4B sin 2t)+0.25(-2A sin 2t+2B cos 2t)+16(A cos 2t+ B sin 2t)=4 cos 20 t

So by comparing the coefficient both sides

30 A+ B=8

A-30 B=0

So we get

A=240/901 and B=8/901

So the steady state response

y= 240/901 cos 2t+ 8/901 sin 2t

Stella [2.4K]

Given :

Thin hoop with a mass of 5.0 kg rotates about a perpendicular axis through its center.

A force F is exerted tangentially to the hoop. If the hoop’s radius is 2.0 m and it is rotating with an angular acceleration of 2.5 rad/s².

To Find :

The magnitude of F.

Solution :

Torque on hoop is given by :

\tau =F\times R\\\\I\alpha = FR\\\\MR^2\alpha = FR\\\\F = MR\alpha( Moment of Inertia of hoop is MR² )

Putting  value of M, R and α in above equation, we get :

F=5\times 2\times 2.5\ N\\\\F = 25  \ N

Therefore, the magnitude of force F is 25 N.

Hence, this is the required solution.

Answer:

circuit sketched in first attached image.

Second attached image is for calculating the equivalent output resistance

Explanation:

For calculating the output voltage with regarding the first image.

Vout = Vin \frac{R_{2}}{R_{2}+R_{1}}

Vout = 5 \frac{2000}{5000}[/[tex][tex]Vout = 5 \frac{2000}{5000}\\Vout = 5 \frac{2}{5} = 2 V

For the calculus of the equivalent output resistance we apply thevenin, the voltage source is short and current sources are open circuit, resulting in the second image.

so.

R_{out} = R_{2} || R_{1}\\R_{out} = 2000||3000 = \frac{2000*3000}{2000+3000} = 1200

Taking into account the %5 tolerance, with the minimal bound for Voltage and resistance.

if the -5% is applied to both resistors the Voltage is still 5V because the quotient  has 5% / 5% so it cancels. to be more logic it applies the 5% just to one resistor, the resistor in this case we choose 2k but the essential is to show that the resistors usually don't have the same value. applying to the 2k resistor we have:

Vout = 5 \frac{1900}{4900}\\Vout = 5 \frac{19}{49} = 1.93 V

Vout = 5 \frac{2100}{5100}\\Vout = 5 \frac{21}{51} = 2.05 V

R_{out} = R_{2} || R_{1}\\R_{out} = 1900||2850= \frac{1900*2850}{1900+2850} = 1140

R_{out} = R_{2} || R_{1}\\R_{out} = 2100||3150 = \frac{2100*3150 }{2100+3150 } = 1260

so.

V_{out} = {1.93,2.05}V\\R_{1} = {1900,2100}\\R_{2} = {2850,3150}\\R_{out} = {1140,1260}
