The time taken by the sled to reach 45 m to the bottom is 4.24 s.

The sled's initial velocity <em>u</em> is zero. It has an acceleration <em>a</em> of a value 5 m/s² down the hill and it travels a distance <em>s</em> equal to 45 m down the hill.

Use the equation of motion,

s=ut+\frac{1}{2} at^2

Substitute 0 m/s for u and rewrite the equation for t.

t=\sqrt{\frac{2s}{a}}  \\ =\sqrt{\frac{2(45 m)}{5.0m/s^2} } \\ =4.24s

The sled takes a time of 4.24 s to reach the bottom of the hill

Two vectors A and B are directed such that there is an angle θ between them. show answer Incorrect Answer Which of the following
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

Scalar product is between ║A║ ║ B║ and  -║A║ ║ B║

Explanation:

Dot product between vec A and vec B is

A.B  = ║A║ ║ B║  cos θ

Here, both ║A║ and ║B║ are positive and value of cos θ depends upon θ  and lies between 1 and -1

So, Scalar product is between ║A║ ║ B║ and  -║A║ ║ B║

F=ma

For the first (10kg) cart,
12=10a
a=6/5 m/s^2 to the left

For the second (5kg) cart,
8=5a
a=8/5 m/s^2 to the left

Therefore, the lighter (5kg) cart experiences a greater acceleration.

A swimming pool contains x (less than 0.02) grams of chlorine per cubic meter. the pool measures 5 meters by 50 meters and is 2
zubka84 [21]
The solution for this problem would be:(10 - 500x) / (5 - x)
so start by doing:
x(5*50*2) - xV + 5V = 0.02(5*50*2)
500x - xV + 5V = 10
V(5 - x) = 10 - 500x
V = (10 - 500x) / (5 - x)
(V stands for the volume, but leaves us with the expression for x)

A car is traveling with speed v0 when it begins to speed up at a rate of Δv every second. After t1 seconds, the car travels with
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

d = Δv(t2-t1)

Explanation:

Speed is defined as the change of displacement with respect to time. It is expressed as shown;

Speed = change in displacement/change in time

Δv = d/Δt

d = Δv*Δt

d = ΔvΔt

Δt = t2-t1

d = Δv(t2-t1)

Δv is the change in rate of speed

Δt = change in time

The correct expression for the displacement of the car during this motion is d = Δv(t2-t1)
