Explanation:

The motion of a particle is defined by the relation as:

x=2t^3-9t^2+12t+10........(1)

Differentiating equation (1) wrt t we get:

v=\dfrac{dx}{dt}

v=\dfrac{d(2t^3-9t^2+12t+10)}{dt}

v=6t^2-18t+12............(2)

When v = 2 ft/s

2=6t^2-18t+12

6t^2-18t+10=0

t₁ = 2.26 s

and t₂ = 0.73 s

Put the value of t₁ in equation (1) as :

x=2(2.26)^3-9(2.26)^2+12(2.26)+10

x₁ = 14.23 ft

Put the value of t₂ in equation (1) as :

x=2(0.73)^3-9(0.73)^2+12(0.73)+10

x₁ = 14.74 ft

For acceleration differentiate equation (2) wrt t as :

a=\dfrac{dv}{dt}

a=\dfrac{d(6t^2-18t+12)}{dt}

a = 12 t - 18.........(3)

Put t₁ and t₂ in equation 3 one by one as :

a_1=12(2.26)-18=9.12\ ft/s^2

a_2=12(0.73)-18=-9.24\ ft/s^2

Hence, this is the required solution.

What is the weight of a 1-kilogram brick resting on a table?
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

The weight if the block is 10Newtons

Explanation:

The weight of any object is quantity of matter the object contains and it is always acting downwards on such body. This shows that the object is under the influence of gravity.

The weight of an object is calculated as mass of the object × its acceleration due to gravity

W = mg

Give the mass of the brick to be 1kg

g is the acceleration due to gravity = 10m/s²

Weight of the object = 1 × 10

= 10kgm/s² or 10Newtons

When a resistor with resistance R is connected to a 1.50-V flashlight battery, the resistor consumes 0.0625 W of electrical powe
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

4.41 W

Explanation:

P = IV, V = IR

P = V² / R

Given that P = 0.0625 when V = 1.50:

0.0625 = (1.50)² / R

R = 36

So the resistor is 36Ω.

When the voltage is 12.6, the power consumption is:

P = (12.6)² / 36

P = 4.41

So the power consumption is 4.41 W.

The battery capacity of a lithium ion battery in a digital music player is 750 mA-h. The manufacturer claims that the player can
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

The number of electrons is 6.3\times10^{21}\ electrons

(D) is correct option.

Explanation:

Given that,

Battery capacity = 750 mA-h

Time t= 8 hours

Time t'=3 hours

We need to calculate the battery capacity

Battery\ capacity=750\times10^{-3}\times3600

Battery\ capacity=2700\ A-s

We need to calculate the number of electrons in 1 C Li

Using formula for number of electron

n=\dfrac{1}{e}

n=\dfrac{1}{1.6\times10^{-19}}

n=6.25\times10^{18}\ electrons

We need to calculate the number of electron in 2700 C

2700\ C=2700\times6.25\times10^{18}=1.68\times10^{22}\ electrons

The total number of electrons battery can deliver in 8 hours

n=1.68\times10^{22}\ electrons

We need to calculate the number of electron in 3 hours

Using formula of number of electrons

n=\dfrac{n\times t'}{t}

Put the value into the formula

n=\dfrac{1.68\times10^{22}\times3}{8}

n=6.3\times10^{21}\ electrons

Hence, The number of electrons is 6.3\times10^{21}\ electrons

In the winter sport of bobsledding, athletes push their sled along a horizontal ice surface and then hop on the sled as it start
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

v_f = 16.6 m/s

Explanation:

As we know by force equation that force along the inclined planed due to gravity is given as

F_g = mg sin\theta

so the acceleration due to gravity along the plane is given as

a = \frac{F_g}{m}

now we have

a = g sin\theta

a = (9.81 sin4.0)

a = 0.68 m/s^2

now we know that

v_f^2 - v_i^2 = 2 a d

v_f^2 - 9.2^2 = 2(0.68)(140)

v_f = 16.6 m/s

What is the frequency of radiation whose wavelength is 11.5 a0 ?
irakobra [83]

Answer:

The frequency of radiation is 2.61 \times 10^{17} s^{-1}

Explanation:

Given:

Wavelength \lambda = 11.5 \times 10^{-10} m

Speed of light c = 3 \times 10^{8} \frac{m}{s}

For finding the frequency of radiation,

  c = f \lambda

  f = \frac{c}{\lambda}

  f = \frac{3 \times 10^{8} }{11.5 \times 10^{-10} }

  f = 2.61 \times 10^{17} s^{-1}

Therefore, the frequency of radiation is 2.61 \times 10^{17} s^{-1}
