Answer:

V = 122.2 L

Explanation:

Given data:

Number of molecules of water = 6.58×10²⁴

Volume of oxygen produced = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2H₂O → 2H₂ + O₂

Number of moles of water:

Number of moles = 6.58×10²⁴/ 6.022 ×10²³

Number of moles =  1.09 ×10¹ mol

Number of moles = 10.9 mol

Now we will compare the moles of water with oxygen:

                        H₂O         :         O₂

                         2             :          1

                         10.9        :           1/2×10.9 = 5.45 mol

Volume of oxygen:

PV = nRT

V = nRT/P

V = 5.45 mol × 0.0821 L. atm. K⁻¹. mol⁻¹× 273 k / 1 atm

V = 122.2 L. atm. / 1 atm

V = 122.2 L

From the following list of elements, those that will always form ionic compounds in a 1:2 ratio with zinc.
harina [27]

Answer:

A. iodine

C. fluorine

F. bromine

Explanation:

Ionic bonds occur mostly between metals and non-metals. Usually, a wide electronegativity difference is preferred between the two atoms. This makes one atom more desirous to gain electron and other more willing to donate electrons.

To have Zn forming a compound in the ratio of 1 to 2, the combining power must be similar to this.

The dominant oxidation state of Zn is the is the +2 state.

The other combining atoms must have the ability to recieve the two electrons.

The halogens fit perfectly into this picture. They need just an electron to attain nobility. They are also highly electronegative. If two halogens combines with the Zn, then the ionic bond will result.

The halogens are fluorine,chlorine, bromine, iodine and astatine.

They will form these compounds:

                       ZnF₂, ZnBr₂ and ZnI₂

The temperature of 6.24 l of a gas is increased from 25.0°c to 55.0°c at constant pressure. the new volume of the gas is
bixtya [17]
At constant pressure, temperature is directly proportional to the volume and vise versa. The formula will be

V1/T1 = V2/T2

where V1 and T1 are the initial volume and temperature and V2 and T2 are the final volume and temperature. The temperature is in Kelvin and to convert Celsius to Kelvin add 273.

so, 6.24L/298 = V2/328

Wich if the following statements best describes why the mass of a bowling ball would not change if it were transported from eart
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

the amount of matter in the bowling ball remains the same

Explanation:

The reason why the mass of the bowling ball on earth and moon remains the same is that matter in the bowling ball remains the same.

Mass of any substance is the amount of matter it contains.

  • Since there is no loss in matter, the mass of the bowling ball anywhere in the universe will be the same.
  • Only the weight changes due to differences in gravity.

A student is setting up a model to study the carbon cycle and natural sources of carbon dioxide. They create a microenvironment
cluponka [151]

Fossil fuels, forest fires, and respiration and major metabolic process photosynthesis are left out of the model.

Explanation:

  • The carbon cycle model contains all the activities but some points are missing in it. Oceans, the burning of fossil fuels should be explained. Natural elements such as coal and natural gas are the main elements of the carbon cycle.
  • Because they are important compounds of the carbon cycle. The process of photosynthesis is very important in the carbon cycle. The process of volcanic eruption should be explained in the carbon cycle.
