Answer:

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of first car

M1= 328kg

The car is moving in positive direction of x axis with velocity

U1 = 19.1m/s

Velocity of second car

U2 = 13m/s, in the same direction as the first car..

Mass of second car

M2 = 790kg

Velocity of second car after collision

V2 = 15.1 m/s

Velocity of first car after collision

V1 =?

This is an elastic collision,

And using the conservation of momentum principle

Momentum before collision is equal to momentum after collision

P(before) = P(after)

M1•U1 + M2•U2 = M1•V1 + M2•V2

328 × 19.1 + 790 × 13 = 328 × V1 + 790 × 15.1

16534.8 = 328•V1 + 11929

328•V1 = 16534.8—11929

328•V1 = 4605.8

V1 = 4605.8/328

V1 = 14.04 m/s

The velocity of the first car after collision is 14.04 m/s

Which of the answer choices is a true statement? Select all that apply. Metallic elements usually exist as molecules, combining
Pani-rosa [81]

Metallic elements can exist on their own as individual atoms.

Nonmetals usually exist as molecules, combining with atoms of themselves.

Nonmetals can exist on their own as individual atoms.

Explanation:

Metallic elements can exist on their own as individual atoms without combining with another atom. They are stable that way. For example gold, copper, and silver.

Non-metals are usually found as molecules in combined states. The molecules are bounded to each other through covalent bonds. Examples are oxygen gas, nitrogen gas e.t.c. When the two atoms combine, they share their electrons to for homonuclear molecules.

Non-metals like the noble gases exists on their own as individual atoms. They are mono-atomic gases and are stable in nature.

Answer:

Number of photons travel through pin hole=6.4*10^{17}

Explanation:

First we will calculate the energy of single photon using below formula:

E=\frac{h*c}{λ}

Where :

h is plank's constant with value 6.626*10^{-34} J.s

c is the speed of light whch is3*10^{8}

λ is the wave length = 532nm

E=\frac{6.6268*10^{-34}* 3*10^{8}}{532nm}

E=3.73*10^{-19}J

Number of photons emitted per second:

\frac{5J/s}{1 photon/3.73*10^{-19} }

Number of photons emitted per second=1.34*10^{19} photons/s

\frac{A-hole}{A-beam}=\frac{\frac{pie*d-hole^2}{4}}{\frac{pie*d-beam^2}{4} }

Where:

A-hole is area of hole

A-beam is area of beam

d-hole is diameter of hole

d-beam is diameter if beam

\frac{A-hole}{A-beam}=\frac{d-hole^2}{d-beam^2}

\frac{Ahole}{A-beam}=\frac{1.22^2}{5.5^2}

\frac{A-hole}{A-beam}=\frac{144}{3025}

Number of photons travel through pin hole=1.34*10^{19} *\frac{144}{3025}

Number of photons travel through pin hole=6.4*10^{17}
