Complete Question

A 30 cmcm wrench is used to loosen a bolt with a force applied 0.30m from the bolt. It takes 60 N to loosen the bolt when the force is applied perpendicular to the wrench. How much force would it take if the force was applied at a 30 degree angle from perpendicular?

Answer:

The force required is  F_{\theta }  =    69.28 \ N

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The length of the wrench is L  =  30 cm =  \frac{30}{100} =  0.3 \ m

    The distance from the bolt is  d = 0.30 m

      The force it takes to loosen the bolt is F = 60 N

       The angle of application is \theta = 30 ^o

Generally the torque required to loosen the bolt is

       \tau =  F * d

        \tau =  60 * 0.3

        \tau =  18 Nm

Now for the bolt to be loosen at \theta the torque at 90° must be the same as that at \theta

So the torque at  \theta is mathematically represented as

          \tau   =  F_{\theta }d  cos \theta

substituting values

           18 =  F_{\theta } * 0.3  cos (30)

           F_{\theta }  =    \frac{18}{0.3  cos (30)}

           F_{\theta }  =    69.28 \ N

A car is travelling to the right with a speed of 42\,\dfrac{\text m}{\text s}42 s m 42, space, start fraction, m, divided by,
Effectus [21]

Answer:

d = 84 m

Explanation:

As we know that when an object moves with uniform acceleration or deceleration then we can use equation of kinematics to find the distance moved by the object

here we know that

initial speed v_i = 42 m/s

final speed v_f = 0

time taken by the car to stop

t = 4s

now the distance moved by the car before it stop is given as

d = \frac{v_f + v_i}{2} \times t

now we have

d = \frac{42 + 0}{2} \times 4

d = 84 m

Electric charge is uniformly distributed inside a nonconducting sphere of radius 0.30 m. The electric field at a point P, which
krok68 [10]

Answer:

E_{max}=41666.66\ N/C

Explanation:

Given that,

The radius of sphere, r = 0.3 m

Distance from the center of the sphere to the point P, x = 0.5 m

Electric field at point P, E_P=15000\ N/C (radially outward)

The maximum electric field is at the surface of the sphere. We know that the electric field is inversely proportional to the distance. So,

\dfrac{E_{max}}{E_p}=\dfrac{0.5^2}{0.3^2}

\dfrac{E_{max}}{15000}=\dfrac{0.5^2}{0.3^2}

{E_{max}}=\dfrac{0.5^2}{0.3^2}\times 15000

E_{max}=41666.66\ N/C

So, the magnitude of the electric field due to this sphere is 41666.66 N/C. Hence, this is the required solution.

Suppose you are driving a car and your friend, who is with you in the car, tosses a softball up and down from her point of view.
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

No, i disagree.

Explanation:

If the car is moving, it only has a velocity with a component in the horizontal direction. If we use galilean relativity, the velocity of the ball observed by my friend standing in the ground should only be affected in the horizonal direction, while the vertical stays the same for both observers.

The reaction energy of a reaction is the amount of energy released by the reaction. It is found by determining the difference in
solmaris [256]

Answer: the correct answer is 7.8026035971 x 10^(-13) joule

Explanation:

Use Energy Conservation. By ``alpha decay converts'', we mean that the parent particle turns into an alpha particle and daughter particles. Adding the mass of the alpha and daughter radon, we get

m = 4.00260 u + 222.01757 u = 226.02017 u .

The parent had a mass of 226.02540 u, so clearly some mass has gone somewhere. The amount of the missing mass is

Delta m = 226.02540 u - 226.02017 u = 0.00523 u ,

which is equivalent to an energy change of

Delta E = (0.00523 u)*(931.5MeV/1u)

Delta E = 4.87 MeV

Converting  4.87 MeV to Joules

1 joule [J] = 6241506363094 mega-electrón voltio [MeV]

4 mega-electrón voltio = 6.40870932 x 10^(-13) joule

4.87 mega-electrón voltio = 7.8026035971 x 10^(-13) joule
