A circular surface with a radius of 0.057 m is exposed to a uniform external electric field of magnitude 1.44 × 104 N/C. The mag

nitude of the electric flux through the surface is 78 N · m2/C. What is the angle (less than 90) between the direction of the electric field and thenormal to the surface?

Answer:

57.94°

Explanation:

we know that the expression of flux

\Phi =E\times S\times COS\Theta

where Ф= flux

           E= electric field

           S= surface area

        θ = angle between the direction of electric field and normal to the surface.

we have Given Ф= 78 \frac{Nm^{2}}{sec}

                          E=1.44\times 10^{4}\frac{Nm}{C}

                          S=\pi \times 0.057^{2}

                         COS\Theta =\frac{\Phi }{S\times E}

 =   \frac{78}{1.44\times 10^{4}\times \pi \times 0.057^{2}}

 =0.5306

 θ=57.94°

Why a steel ship becomes magnetized as it is constructed?
Inessa [10]
<em>Iron, and to a lesser degree, steel, can only become magnetised by passing an electrical current through it (an electromagnet). So a steel ship does not become magnetised in the accepted sense during construction. </em>

<span><em>However, any large mass of iron will affect the accuracy of a magnetic compass, causing it to deviate wildly from magnetic North. This problem was encountered when iron ships were first constructed in the mid-19 Century. It was overcome by mounting the compass in a 'binnacle', a housing containing two large soft iron balls either side of the compass itself, which counteracted the effect of the hull and balanced the compass so that it read correctly</em></span>

Reference frame definitely changes when also changes.
Alex
Reference frames describe the position of points relative to the body. These frames <span>are used to specify the relationship between a moving </span>observer and the phenomenon or phenomena under observation. Reference frame definitely changes when the body is changing. That is the reason that in order t<span>o describe the position of a point that moves relative to a body that is moving relative to the Earth, it is usually convenient to use a reference frame attached to the moving body.</span>

kupik [55]

Answer:

   y = - (½ g / v₀²)   x²

Explanation:

This is a projectile launch exercise where there is no acceleration on the x-axis so

        x = v₀ₓ t

        v₀ₓ = v₀ cos tea

        y = v_{oy} t - ½ g t2

        v_{oy} = v₀ sin θ

as the sphere is thrown horizontally, the angle is tea = 0º, so the initial velocity remains

          v₀ₓ = v₀

           v_{oy} = 0

we substitute in our equations

          x = v₀ t

          y = - ½ g t²

we eliminate the time from these equations, we substitute the first in the second

      y = - ½ g (x / v₀)²

      y = - (½ g / v₀²)   x²

this is the equation of a parabola

Ann and Bob are carrying a 18.5 kg table that is 2.25 m long. A 8.33 kg box sits on the table 0.750 m from Ann. How much lift fo
IgorC [24]

Answer:

F = 118 N

Explanation:

Assume Ann and Bob lift at their respective ends of the table

Sum moments about Bob's position to zero.

Let F be Ann's upward force

F[2.25] - 18.5(9.80)[2.25 / 2] - 8.33(9.80)[0.750] = 0

F = 117.86133333...

A ray of yellow light (f = 5.09 × 1014hz) travels at a speed of 2.04 × 108meters per second in
denis23 [38]
Velocity = fλ

where f is frequency in Hz, and λ is wavelength in meters.

2.04 * 10⁸ m/s =  5.09 * 10¹⁴  Hz   *  λ

(2.04 * 10⁸ m/s) / (5.09 * 10¹⁴  Hz ) = λ

4.007*10⁻⁷  m =  λ

The wavelength of the yellow light = 4.007*10⁻⁷  m
