Momentum = Mass x Velocity
80kg Runner: 80 x 2.45 = 196 Kg m/s

How is a yeast cell different from an onion skin cell? Yeast can reproduce by budding. Onion cells do not reproduce by budding.
Jlenok [28]

Answer:

Yeast cell is different from an onion skin cell in that Yeast can reproduce by budding while onion skin cells do not reproduce by budding.

Explanation:

 • Reproduction is one of the characteristics of living organisms. All living organisms undertake reproduction to give rise to new organisms.
 • There are two major types of reproduction namely asexual and sexual reproduction.
 • Asexual reproduction is a form of reproduction that does not involve the fusion of gametes among organisms. Examples of asexual reproduction are budding in yeast and vegetative propagation in plants such as onions.
 • Sexual reproduction, on the other hand, involves the fusion of gametes from male and female organisms which results in the formation of an embryo that develops to the fetus which becomes the offspring.
 • Therefore, we could say that yeast cells reproduce asexually through budding while onions reproduce asexually through vegetative propagation.

GuDViN [60]

To separate some ethanol from water, Jane needs to use the method of simple distillation.

Simple distillation is a separation method in which two liquids can be separated from each other based on differences in boiling point.

Since water has a higher boiling point than ethanol, ethanol is collected first as the distillation proceeds.

What is the molarity of a HNO3 solution prepared by adding 290.7 mL of water to 350.0 mL of 12.3 M HNO3?
Lisa [10]

Answer:

6.72M of HNO3

Explanation:

In the problem you are diluting the original HNO3 solution by the addition of some water. The final volume is:

290.7mL + 350.0mL = 640.7mL

And you are diluting the solution:

640.7mL / 350.0mL = 1.8306 times

As the original concentration was 12.3M, the final concentration will be:

12.3M / 1.8306 =

6.72M of HNO3
